The Ultimate Guide to Commissioning Custom Artwork

Commissioning custom artwork offers a personal connection that mass-produced pieces cannot. At The Kneverworks, we make commissioning art seamless and rewarding.

How to Commission Art

Start by defining your vision: colors, themes, and purpose. Collaborate with our team to bring it to life. One client, inspired by childhood memories, commissioned a mural that transformed their living space into a storybook setting.

Tips for a Successful Commission

Clear communication is key. Share references, be open to creative input, and trust the process. Our goal is to transform your ideas into a masterpiece that exceeds expectations.

This concept was part of an original show pitch submitted to Nickelodeon, though it was ultimately rejected. The characters live in a whimsical book-world, where every element—from the trees to the ground—resembles the texture of aged pages. Trees made of papier-mâché highlight the literary essence of the landscape, reinforcing the show's central theme around the power of storytelling.
A small but significant detail in the show is the number "451" on one character’s hat, a reference to Fahrenheit 451, symbolizing the importance of knowledge and literature. In this world, books represent a fluid, shifting landscape where knowledge can be "harvested." The antagonist, however, works to keep the books closed, halting the flow of knowledge and progress.
